Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

dresr ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address or phone number (depending on how you sign up) and display name through Firebase Authentication. If you sign up by phone, your number is used for sign-in verification and account access, not for marketing.

Wardrobe Data: Photos of clothing items you upload, along with metadata you provide or that our AI suggests (category, color, material, brand, seasons). This data is stored in your personal account and is not shared with other users.

Outfit Data: Outfits you create, including associated metadata (dress codes, seasons, time of day, notes) and any photos you upload or generate.

Body Profile Photos (Photos of You): You can optionally upload photos of yourself to your body profile and set a profile picture. These photos may incidentally include your face. We do not collect face data: we do not perform facial recognition or facial mapping, and we do not collect, generate, or store faceprints, facial geometry, or any other biometric identifiers from your photos. If you use the optional Auto-Detect feature, a body photo you select is analyzed once to suggest general, non-biometric appearance attributes (skin tone level, build, and hair color, length, and type) so that generated outfit images better reflect you. Only these attributes are stored; no facial features are analyzed or saved. Body profile photos are stored privately in your account and are never shared with other users.

Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's location to provide local weather information on the home screen. We do not store your location — it is used only for real-time weather queries.

Camera and Photo Library: With your permission, we access your camera and photo library to let you photograph and upload clothing items and, optionally, photos of yourself for your body profile.

How We Use Your Information

AI Processing

When you use AI features (photo enhancement, auto-fill, outfit photo generation, outfit analysis, and body profile Auto-Detect), your photos and item descriptions are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. These requests are made through our secure backend servers, and photos are transmitted only for the duration of the request. Google's AI services process the data according to their own privacy policies. We do not use your wardrobe data or your photos to train AI models, and no face data is extracted, generated, or stored by any AI feature. Photos are not shared with any third party other than the processing described here.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Your wardrobe and outfit data is scoped to your account and is not accessible to other users unless you explicitly share an outfit via a share link.

Sharing

When you share an outfit, a copy of that outfit's data (photos, metadata, item details) is stored in a separate public collection accessible via the share link. Share links expire after 30 days. Anyone with the link can view the shared outfit during that period. You control what you share — we never share your data without your action.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Data Retention

Your wardrobe and outfit data is retained as long as your account is active. Body profile photos and the appearance attributes derived from them are retained until you remove them in the app or delete your account, whichever comes first. Shared outfit links expire automatically after 30 days. You can delete individual items, outfits, photos, or your entire account at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes all of your photos, profile data, and wardrobe data from our systems.
